January 24, 2007 - Ubisoft posted its financial release yesterday, and hidden amongst all the Econ 101 mumbo-jumbo were some choice tidbits of news relating to delays of some key Ubisoft software.
Noticeably absent from Ubisoft's list of Q4 releases was the PlayStation 3 version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, despite the fact that all other versions of the game made the list. An industry pundit close to IGN confirmed this delay. Another game that will see delays is the upcoming Free Radical FPS, Haze, which shuffled off its original winter 2007 release to sometime in early 2008. Ubisoft also announced that three of its in-development Wii titles would be slipping from the final quarter of this fiscal year to sometime in the first half of next fiscal year.
Despite these delays, Ubisoft still has four Wii titles set to release before the end of March, as well as a plentitude of Xbox 360 and PC games. As for the three mystery 2007 Wii games, we can't help but think that one of them has to be the as-of-yet unannounced sequel to Red Steel.
