Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi recently showed Gran Turismo PSP at Sony's E3 press conference, the first time the title has been heard from in years, and received cheers from the crowd in attendance.
The crew over at Polyphony Digital has been working hard over the past few years developing the game and has come up with several new, innovative features for the title, such as the ability to transfer your car from the PSP game to the PS3 release of Gran Turismo 5.
To quote: The feature was revealed during an interview (below) with GameSpot at the conference. Kazunori pushed the fact that he wanted the player to feel like they actually owned the car, that it wasn't just a car in a game, which led to the feature being implemented into the game.
"Whether it be from PSP to GT5, to even future renditions, GT6 and on, you can carry over the cars as YOUR cars, as something you own, even if the system changes, you can keep it."
Sounds like another great use of the interconnectivity between the PS3 and PSP.
