    flash on yellowdog?

    hi all,

Is there any flash capable of working on yellow dog. I have installed everything on my ps3-YDL bar flash which is abit annoying not to have.

I have looked everywhere, would opera have preinstalled flash plugin? Any ideas?

Nope. Adobe hasn't released flash on any PPC linux build as far as I know. They even have something on the official YDL site that says you should petition for one.

    yum install gnash
    yum install gnash-plugin

Its an open source flash alternative. It doesn't work all that well, but it is better than nothing I suppose. Adobe already has a PPC version of flash for macs, it couldn't be that hard for them to make a PPC linux version! Of course minus the PS3 and 360, PPC is dead...

Currently, Gnash can play SWF files up to version 7, as well as some features of the new version 8 9 files. Gnash supports playback of FLV videos and allows playing FLV files from YouTube, MySpace, ShowMeDo and other similar websites. FLV support requires FFmpeg or GStreamer to be installed on the system.

No Adobe Flash version for PPC. It means that gnash is the only way in PS3 or PPC/Linux.
