    For US or other countries you may need some tweaks. For US,

    I changed:

    In = FALSE
    Out = TRUE
    Key = "URL: PS3 firmware check hack [OUT]"
    URL = "*.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/list/eu/ps3-updatelist.txt$RDIR(http://file//C:/ps3-updatelist.txt)"

    text "eu" to "us"

    Also, for: http://208.68.92.162/update/ps3/list/eu/ps3-updatelist.txt

    change "eu" to "us" and it will get the proper file for you.

    You could as well change the "eu" to * to have just one rule...

    @RexVF5, thanx for this method man, but it's not working for me. I keep getting the following error when I hit the 'Sign In' button:

    An error has occured. You have been signed out of the PLAYSTATION(R)Network. (80028E06)
    The error shows up the second I try to sign in (no delay), which leads me to believe that its some networking error. I have done everything you have mentioned in your summary, but its still not work. What mistake could I be making ?

    Under my normal home network setup, my PS3 has the following network configuration:

    IP: 10.0.0.7
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Router: 10.0.0.138
    Default Gateway: ---.---.48.3
    Second Gateway: ---.---.48.4

    Proxy: Do Not Use

    After setting up Proxomitron on my PC, what change do I need to bring up in the above config to enable my PS3 too ??

    I have tried disabling my firewalls too, but still nothing..

    Although, when I hit the 'Sign In' button on the PS3, the following shows up in the Proxomitron's Log:

    New Message Log Window....
    RedirectTo: http://file//C:/ps3-updatelist.txt

    Please help me out.

    Well, you need to set up PS3 to use HTTP proxy (Proxomitron) running on your computer.

    Using this or any other proxy bypass-method is there anyone else having problems accessing account management?

    EDIT: I find it too unbelievable that i by chance always get the "Site Maintenance Notice" everytime, the store and other stuff works fine.

    I don't know it's new or not but im gonna write it here. It's a "method" to download any file on PS3 into Games folder.
    On your PC in The Proxomitron default.cfg paste something like that:
    Code:
    In = TRUE
    Out = TRUE
    Key = "Content-Length: 757553456"
    Match = "757553456"
    Replace = "*"

    In = TRUE
    Out = TRUE
    Key = "Content-Type:"
    Match = "*"
    Replace = "text/plain"

    In = TRUE
    Out = TRUE
    Key = "Range: bytes=-"
    Match = "bytes=*-*"

    In = TRUE
    Out = TRUE
    Key = "URL: F1"
    URL = "*Hyv22x1yMLpLUPGvFSreadbshPjhLUuqfc9HKa13SqWe9I5qlS0ydb2VnbASbBdCvWT00GXTvVqAqCqEBGdwRDLhErRgbr0A0HlaC.pkg$RDIR(http://file//C:/your_file.pkg)"
    Then select "Bypass" and:

    On EU PSN:
    Start download "Formula One C.E Demo" (723 MB / 757553456 B) and click Download in Background.
    Now go to XMB in Network section->Download Managment and pause downloading.
    Now uncheck "Bypass" and resume downloading your file.

    Console will download anything and save it to the Games folder with F1 icon and title. You can't install .pkgs. Sorry for my english.

    I forgot, im on 2.52.
