[IMGW]http://www.1up.com/media?id=2239945[/IMGW]Though it's almost a year since PC and Xbox 360 owners experienced http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3136083, PlayStation-centric gamers will have their first shot this spring. Bethesda Softworks
had a bit of an extensive chat with http://www.shacknews.com/extras/2007/020807_petehines_1.x recently, and the now-developing-http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=2010007 studio revealed a desire to bring Oblivion to Wii, but the hardware wouldn't (apparently) cover what they needed.
That doesn't really explain away how they've managed to plop the series on PSP, though...
"This time around we did Oblivion and again we designed a game that's really going to push some limits and would do the things we thought next-gen consoles might be able to do. When 360 dev kits were available, we did it on them because it was available. It's not really going to run on a Wii for example, but if it could we would put it there. Our philosophy is to make a game and make it available to as many people as possible. We're not looking to limit who can play a game. We want to make something that's fun and we want as many people as possible to play it." -- Bethesda public relations head Pete Hines
Maybe next time.
