Analysts: Guitar Hero to Add Instruments in '08

As reported by http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=14930, Janco called Rock Band "a compelling option for the music oriented category beginning in holiday '07, which will pressure Guitar Hero's growth." Expanding on that point, the group added, "That said, we expect Guitar Hero to follow a natural product evolution by adding additional music peripherals in CY08."

While such a move might finally find a legitimate use for http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3158406 on the Xbox 360 X-Plorer guitar, we wonder what (if any) instruments could be added in a way that doesn't feel like they're simply copying the Rock Band formula.
