if theres anyone from the uk here, get a technika keyboard from tesco for £5, its usb and also comes with an adapter for ps2 connection (pc ps2, not playstation 2). it works perfect and does not freeze or anything

The wierd thing is my iso from resistance fall of man is 13.5GB, its PAL version generated with BRDGen, this forum says its 15GB normally, does this means my iso is broken ore something or is it just compression ?

Joskuh , stick the disk in the PS3, launch up SAK, run the get disk size commnad, it will tell you how big the Blu-Ray is, if your file matches the disk size, thats it, if not, it would need to be redumped.

this could be because of the linux/windows files size difference maybe?

windows says 1024 is 1 meg
linux says 1000 is 1 meg

i think im right on the sizes. so try to divide the Kb that linux reports the file size by 1024 and see if it matches what windows is reporting as the file size. hope im not misleading you but i think im right ?

15,181,312 divide by 1024 = 14,825.5

if im not mistaken SAK is code that is basically linux code so that probably is the file size difference your seeing and EXT3 is linux format.

i have 3 questions i need help with please cjpc or any one

1) how do i delete the SAK e.g. the osfile
2) what does it actually do what do u mean by back up
3) why cant i delete it

1. You don't delete you just install another OS file which will over write it.

2. well it backs up your games and blu-ray discs, for back-up read copy.

3. If your stuck and can't get back to the PS3 game OS then just press and hold the on/off button on the PS3 untill you here two beeps then it will boot back to the game OS. If thats not what you were asking then give more info on the problem.

I try to dump the movie to the internal HDD but it says there is not enough space. I have the 60gb so there should be plenty. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

when you format your ps3 you have 2 choices. if you wanna dump movies to your internal hdd the you must format the drive using the choice of 10 gig to ps3 and 50 gig to other os or you will not have enough space to dump a movie. blu ray movies are huge usually around 20 gig give or take a few gigs.

Indeed, there are also some dual layered BR's (movies) that peak near the 50gb mark, and after formatting overhead etc, it may not be enough, and an external HDD may be needed!
