For some strange reason, my PS3 is not able to obtain an IP when using SAK. I have it manually assigned in the ps3os settings but I notice when I use SAK, my router does not see my PS3 at all, what gives? I have my router set to DHCP so I don't see why it's not getting an IP.

acplayer, wired or wireless? SAK at the moment only supports wired connections with DHCP.

It would be a wired router.

acplayer, it should work fine (of course), it must be an odd setting somewhere. Note: settings in the PS3OS are not read by SAK etc (yet), its an autodiscovery thing, so if your using custom DHCP servers, it wont be able to tell.

KAZAK, your on the right track, now it should work (however it is not), did you re-format sdf1 into ext3?

Edit: Please do let me know, if it does work, you found a bug, which will be hunted down, caught, and patched!

No, not a problem at all, if its a bug, I'll do my best to find and fix it, thats why it was released! Overall, I beleive it is a very strong first release, only 1-2 major bugs, unlike other programs, that are released full of bugs!

Edit: Are you using Internet Explorer at all? If so, that may be the reason!

Hey no problems at all. Yeah, if you could try Firefox (if its on your PC), it will probably work = why a FTP program would most likely work better! Furthermore the format issue, I'm gonna say its probably the windows driver doing something funny (what exactically im not sure, I use linux here!)

how to configure networkshare

Hi everyone,

So I have sak installed and working and for convenience am trying to use the networkshare feature. I type in my computers ip address and the folder name PS3_ISOS I created in my C:\ drive, I tried typing my computer user name and also tried my network name with password and without. I hit enter and first it says "failed no such device or address" then it says

"succeeded connection to your pc" I type in the name for the iso hit enter, it gives me the may appear to freeze prompt then it says "killed" and goes to the sleeping prompt. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and what I am supposed to type in at each prompt? Thanks in advanced!

20GB, sure Ive got one myself!

Furthermore, I suppose the SAK dumping is a bug, and we must fix it!

Cyrax, its a windows issue, check your settings!
