Nope, hacked2123 posted a tutorial on how to stick them onto an external HDD, and play them thru the PS3OS! Alas, you will need to decrypt them on your pc etc, but, for some that might be easier, others may want to go the full linux route!

I don't want to bother anyone but I'm having troubles with the http feature. I'm trying to put my Blu-Ray Movie on my PC's HDD using the network share feature. My shared folder is located at \\NASA\SharedDocs.

Could you tell me what the folder name should be. Thanks for everything.

This application has nothing to do with that, copy it to a usb key, stick it in your ps3, copy it back (or use a webserver), theres plenty of threads on this, search!

Avalanche, \\NASA\SharedDocs
so your Folder Name is SharedDocs (make sure its set for read/write,
get the IP address for the NASA box (thats your IP)
then the Administrator User/Password for the box (or a user /pass that can read/write to it!)

Thanks for the reply. Sorry but just one more thing. My IP address for my machine on the network is 192.168.0.164 but I don't know how to find out what my user accounts IP is for the shared files.

This is my last question, promise.

Thanks.

I thought that was my problem but I'm still getting this.

IP Address: 192.168.0.164
Foldername: SharedDocs
Username: Tyler
httpd: option requires an argument -- d BusyBox v1.1.3 (2007.02.22-18:46+0000) multi-call binary Usage: httpd [-c ] [-p ] [-r ] [-h home] [-d/-e ] Listens for incoming http server requests. Options: -c FILE Specifies configuration file. (default httpd.conf) -p PORT Server port (default 80) -r REALM Authentication Realm for Basic Authentication -h HOME Specifies http HOME directory (default ./) -e STRING Html encode STRING -d STRING URL decode STRING Password:

Checking Permissions...

Folder Exists.

You Have an Error, possible causes are: Bad Username/Password

The exact error is listed below

The user name is the windows user account is it not because my Windows user name is "Tyler" and it is still not working. Also I have no password. I'm so sorry for the trouble. Thanks.

Ok, the Username and Password stuff is for more "advanced" windows features, if you dont have one / unsure, enter a username/password with Administrative access to the folder (for read/write)!

That HTTPD error makes no sense, are you plugging in the network cable when you try that? if so, plug it in, and reboot the PS3. Use the adminstrative accont on your pc (or create one with a password, for now)!

Edit: When it says 'the exact error is listed below' , can you tell me that error?
