Found this tidbit of info. Below in RED is what I like

Gamer Day Leak Rumor:

Sony’s GAMERS DAY event is over. While everyone is busy pining over the HALO beta, I’m here giving you juicy news. Enjoy!

PLAYSTATION NETWORK INFO:

Dave Jaffe will be setting up his own studio which aims completely at making games for the PlayStation Network.

Factor5 and Sony online entertainment are working together on an MMO. The MMO is titled Relay and look to be a western styled sci-fi world. A trailer of 15 second trailer was shown and that’s about it.

A new Syphon filter is coming soon to the PSN. The game will be episodic in nature. It will come to Blu-ray as well but with a few of the initial chapters. The game will be entirely designed for downloadable content. With new maps, levels and weapons. Only on the PSN.

Stardust HD and nucleus were shown, two games which seem to similar in vein to Blast Factor.

Vegas strip: Poker Edition was shown.

A new topdown arcade shooter was shown. The game has no title as of yet but has a fell of Capcom’s classic 1942.

A few more arcade shooters were shown. Metal Slug, Cars and the Xbox live arcade game heavy Weapons are all set to come to the PSN.

Loco Roco were not present

Home Beta was workable and shown. But nothing new on HOME.

PS3

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune it was shown according to many there it was the game of the show, looking fantastic and playing like a dream.

Lair will release in august and a demo will be on the network in June.

Eye or Judgement was shown. Works perfectly with the new PlayStation Eye, which was also present.

Insomniacs Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools or Destruction was shown. The game performed terribly and there were serious problems with the framerate. These were under the 30 frames per second.

Ninja Theory’s Heavenly Sword was also shown and from accounts was looking very rough, even at this stage in time which is 90% done. Many were left unimpressed.

Sony worldwide has 40 games in development. Some of these games will be later presented this year at E3.

Eight Days will now be episodic. Each day a separate episode. The game will release on blu-ray if a success but all depends on how it does on the network.

The development of Wipeout is going very well and will be running at 60 frames per second. It’s slated for a 2008 release.

Firmware:

By the end of this week the new new firmware will be up for download. This firmware makes it possible to put up your own wallpapers, music to listen while playing games and DVD’s and PS2-games will be upscaled.

Yeah, I saw that a bit earlier too (and I was ridiculously excited about it as well). I actually think it's fake just because of the fact that not only have I not heard of the firmware update info anywhere else, but I've seen footage of Ratchet and Clank from the conference and it looked like it was running perfectly.

Everything else in that list made perfect sense though... so maybe he just caught something we didn't?

I'm convinced that this firmware update "rumor" is true. Either way, the details of it seem believable enough. And from the very beginning, the details were written in the traditional Sony we-reveal-our-new-update-details style, as they do for the PSP AND for the PS3. This could not have been a fake. Even if there was that incident it seems that the person who wrote those "leaked" details certainly knew something, he was not just a faker.

More rumors. I'll believe it when/if I see it. I think a lot of people are getting their hopes up for nothing.

Well if nothing happens on Wednesday, I'm not going to be surprised because thus far everything is still under speculation.

1.80 is the next release:

1.80 firmware out tomorrow

By Dean Pullen: Wednesday 23 May 2007, 15:08
NOT CONTENT with announcing an 80GB Playstation 3 this week, Sony has, within the last few minutes, released details of the 1.80 PS3 firmware upgrade.

By far the most impressive feature of the update is the promise of upscaled Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games, as well as the upscaling of standard DVDs, all the way to 1080p. 1080p has recently been marketed as 'full HD'.

It should be noted that the upscaling will only work via a TV HDMI based connection to your PS3.

Also in this comprehensive update to PS3’s already upgraded capabilities, version 1.80 also allows users to utilise Remote Play on their PSP across the internet, allowing them to access their PS3 anywhere in the world where a broadband internet connection is available.

The use of Remote Play requires a powered up PS3 with Version 1.80 as well as PSP firmware version 3.50 which will be available at the end of May.

This new firmware also allows users on a home network to view and play media content such as images, music and video stored on their DLNA3 (Digital Living Network Alliance) enabled devices, such as PCs and laptops elsewhere in the house, via their PS3, allegedly reinforcing PS3’s credentials as a home entertainment hub.

A 'host' of other enhancements include the ability to print photo images stored on PS3’s hard disk or inserted storage media to a selection of Epson printers.

Playstation 3 owners will be able to upgrade their PS3 with the latest Version 1.80 firmware from tomorrow, 24th May 2007.
