I will let CJPC know later today, and hopefully he can upload a more common one (one that is also native to the PSP) for easier comparison purposes.

Cool, thanks, Hopefully one of the PS3 ones might be the same as the PSP ones. Also here is the ones for the PSP, in case CJPC isn't wasting time uploading heaps of useless ones.

These are from a folder I found on my PC. I usually download crap I have no idea about lol. These were named Epm084 Read Use (supported old and new pandora). If anyone has other PSP RCO that aren't listened, please post.

auth_plugin
game_plugin
impose_plugin
msgdialog_plugin
msvideo_plugin
music_plugin
netconf_dialog
netplay_plugin
opening_plugin
osk_plugin
osk_utility
photo_plugin
savedata_plugin
savedata_utility
sysconf_plugin
system_plugin
system_plugin_bg
system_plugin_fg
topmenu_plugin
update_plugin
video_plugin
video_plugin_videotoolbar

Good luck guys. Hopefully a back door might be available soon. This reminds me of the Bert and Ernie font hack for the Xbox1. Cool.

ask for system_plugin.rco thats a fun one. seeing as CJPC has a dev unit i want to know if he has 'easy' access to his own PS3s RCO files on the Dev unit, i wouldn't want to risk bricking it if i was him by using some RCO file that some random person uploaded.

but im sure it wouldn't brick if you just changed some letters around for the headings ('Video" changed to "Movie", keeping length the same) but then again, i wouldn't recommend it.

PSP RCO Editor author may help?

I'm a member of an italian forum where also lurks ..::tHeDJ::.. , one of the authors of PSP RCO editor (along with ZiNgAbUrGa). Check yourself: http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/archive/index.php?thread-167-46.html

I could ask him to come here and give us his help. I think he knows a thing or two about RCO's
Just ask me and I'll do immediately. I hope it helps.

I see exactly the same header in your files :S

P.S In in the DLNA (upnp) RCO I see the dutch language comes first, instead of English, utmost strange ...

Sure, I've attached osk_plugin.rco, it also appears to be uncompressed, so it should serve for a decent comparison to that of the PSP!

Lightbulb Progress

I have a phat PSP 3.90m33-2 and a 60GB PS3 fw 2.30 and want to help even though this is my first time working with .rco files. I have done many mods for my psp and have been running homebrew since firmware 2.01 -> 1.51.

I've been working on the .rco decompression for about 8 hours and would like to report my progress because I need to take a well deserved break for the evening. I am tired so excuse any excessive babbling.

I chose to compare "camera_plugin.rco" (compressed) with "friendim_plugin.rco".

Using HxDen I hacked away managing to get each different conversion message to show up when converting friendim_plugin.rco with altered headers from camera_plugin.rco.
1. Working with header...
2. Working with languagetables...
3. Working with graphics...

but each success only gave one of the above messages and 10 seconds later the psp would turn off in failure.

I have now been successful at processing the bulk of "friendim_plugin.rco" within the "camera_plugin.rco" file.

camera_plugin.rco is 169k compressed and 254k uncompressed using Resurssiklunssi ver0.3 running in kernel 3.90 mode with sysmem.prx from firmware 2.70.

Adding the bulk of friendim_plugin.rco resulted in a successful conversion using Resurssiklunssi with each of the 3 conversion msgs above and a file size result of 365k.

I am attaching this file in the hopes it reveals something. I scanned it quickly but did not find any new plain text but I am very tired and can't stare at this screen much longer.

The only odd thing is Resurssiklunssi is supposed to process the .rco files in the "rco" folder and spit out the uncompressed files to the "done" folder. Well when I run Resurssiklunssi again *after* this successful conversion it attempts step 3 (Working with graphics... OK!) from the "done" folder but doesn't seem to make any changes and the "rco" folder is empty.

The exact HEX changes made are:

friendim_plugin.rco:
Copied from line 000000A0 column E and down to bottom of file and pasted into camera_plugin.rco @ line 00012E40 column 3 just before the first large padded area in the file.

Hope this leads somewhere.
