PS3 250GB Bundle with Gray Box Spotted at European Retailer

Recently Sony announced that new PS3 250GB bundles were heading for Europe, and this past week UK Retail Pricing was also confirmed.

Today Engadget received a picture (below) of a 250GB PS3 Slim bundle spotted at an unspecified retail store in Europe.

Although it's a bit hard to tell from the image, it appears the 250GB PlayStation 3 bundles come in a gray box, versus the original white one pictured to the right.

To quote: "The new 250 PS3 Slim might be listed 'in stock' on Amazon.co.uk, but it's not arriving until October 6th according to the online retailer.

This particular model, however, is up for sale right this instant at some unnamed retail store in Europe - even though it's hanging out behind a rather messy help desk in this particular shot."

I got mail today in which the dutch game store "intertoys" announced the 250GB uncharted 2 Bundel for 16 oct. at 349 euro ($508 or 319GBP or 45.637 yen), it isn't available on the site and the first sighting for me of the 250GB model with a price tag in holland.

Its true. I was walking through Manchester today and there was one outside HMV, they are being sold in the UK right now Don't know about other European countries.

These have been on sale for about a week now in every GAME store in the UK. Suprised these pictures havent been seen before now.

I thought they had been out for a while now too. Cheapest I could find was at shopto.net for £249 without games but they are selling bundled offeres too.

There is meant to be an Uncharted 2 bundle pack and a Gran Turismo 5 bundle pack coming soon. Uncharted 2 in October and GT5 in December as far as I know.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a "normal" PS3 Slim and build in a 2,5 hard drive with 250gb storage than spending £249?
