ok, so I can use an original game instead of swap magic and I will void my warranty...

But I still don't know what I need to do after I take out the BR...

I would like to try this switch mod, but is there any +3V you can steal from the PS3's built in power supply :?? I don't like the idea of a battery, or external adapter...

Also, I believe I can find a small 3 position switch that has an extra contact so that instead of 2-3 switches, it will just disconnect the sensor when manual operation of the drive is used.

I have what I need... I think... I will make a 5VDC circuit with a SPDT Relay which will connect the sensor circuit when in the off, and connect the manual switch when on.

I still need a 5-24VDC Source located near the BR Drive. I will boot the PS3 up when it's open and search for one (Unless someone is kind enough to tell me where to find it). I will post Pictures and/or block diagram if successful.

Vaan is right. View the video http://www.ps3news.com/forums/downlo...o=file&id=3824 it is quite simple. Ive tried putting up pics on how to do this and how to dismantle the ps3. I can not see what people do not understand about it.

why i wrote: "I know that u don't need swapmagic...its a question" ? Don't u understand that i know how it's working? I read that sony blocked the sm (swap magic) in newer firmware version. I want to find out if they blocked and the sm 3.8 (coder)

So you wait 5 mins until you can swap the disc? That seems a bit of a drag?!

Maybe worth installing the switch as you do not have to wait for 5 minutes. It stops as soon as you flick to eject.
