I think you did get the point at the end, I for example didnt play all the ps2 games I wish I had. Having ps2 compatibility on my ps3 is good but not as good as having the games on the psn store. I can go back to play games I missed out that are playing a major role today, like GOW a game I didnt play.
Or what about a great rpg you didnt get to play, lets be honest the ps2 had hundreds and hundreds of amazing titles and I doubt you had the chance to play them all. The ps2 lived for almost 10 years surprising gamers and you can get almost any genre out of it. I do go back to consoles or emulators to play games that I missed out, like chrono trigger or final fantasy vii I played them for the first time last year.
I understand that a lot of people dont want to play something "old" but I and a lot of people do play old stuff thats epic or that made a difference. I enjoy an old game as much as a new game as long as its a GOOD game, specially RPGS and shooters.
