FFS this has got to be the most incompetent games producer in the world, they just keep on pushing the dates back further and further, seriously they should have just released the game with say 400 cars and made the rest downloadable.

Incompetent? Downloadable content is nothing compared to having the data available on the disc. GT is also not like a racing sim with a 1.5 year turnover period. It has to be made massively and be made to last. They have to perfect it and I wont blame them if they keep it till they think its perfect. honestly its not like there arent any other games to play while we wait. GT5 is not the second coming so why hate on them for not being as soon as you want them to be? Pick up a copy of gt3 or 4 or something. Those games were made to last.

Agree there are plenty of games out for the Ps3. I'd rather wait for a perfect version than get a rush and buggy game.

Ok lets look at it this way, the game was first revealed at E3 in 2006 it is now coming to the end of 2009, and the official word is it will be released in 2010 so within ~4 years they've produced nothing other than a Prologue of the game, a few videos and a few screen shots, the prologue of the game made it look like another standard racing game that any competent studio could have released within half the time.

As per you point about the game being "made to last", I put to you doesn't downloadable content add to the replayability of a video game?, It seems to me if they release the game this year with the amount of cars and tracks that have been completed and implemented into the game it would already be "made to last" since they could later release the rest as addons.

"honestly its not like there arent any other games to play while we wait" -
See thats where your wrong at the moment GT5 is the only good upcoming racer on the PS3, I picked up NFS: Shift yesterday from my local game store and returned it this morning due to the fact it is utterly sh*t.

"Pick up a copy of gt3 or 4 or something. Those games were made to last." - I bought a PS3 to play 'next gen' games not 'last gen' games.

So yes I stick to my original point the guys over at Polyphony Digital are completely incompetent.

Same thoughts here. If we want quality games, we better wait for the developers to finish it perfectly. When it comes to games especially Next Gen ones, I would rather choose quality over quantity anytime.

This game better be beyond amazing... The demo for this game came out around 2 years ago? This is ridiculous. It was interesting since TGS posted a project completion percentages as well.
