That is the correct version, may have to wait for an update. That is a very new movie so they may have "fixed" the AACS keys...

my 2 cents, i wish i could test this but my computer can't play blu-ray cause of it's graphics drivers (ati radeon X800xt) what a crock!!!

but this method worked for casino royale, i was able to mount, it created a SLY! folder and powerDVD got as far as telling me my graphics drivers need to be updated (i have! doesn't work)

the method didn't work with X-men3, it showed the standard error everyone is getting, tried playing the mounted image in powerDVD and it said i can't play back AACS protected material

so... i used the right click anydvd icon and selected rip blue ray to HDD, then tried running that through powerDVD - and guess what? my graphics drivers need to be updated.... insteresting, no?

if someone wants to test this 'd love to know if it works - good luck all!!

Perhaps its an error in the latest catalyst release but with the use of AnyDVD HD you should be able to play back any HD disk be it HD-DVD or Blu-Ray without an HDCP compliant GPU.

anyone else got this title to work?
interesting... I thought open season was AVC? I've had great success with all MPEG2 movies, Night at the Museum IS mpeg2 and should work fine. You need to make sure you pick the correct audio track.

Open Season has 2 DD english tracks, 1 is PCM HD lossless, probably won't work, the other is a normal DD 5.1. PS3 XMB will only play this as a DD 2.0 "stereo" file, but if your amp has DSP set the channels to ALL and you will at least fire all your speakers.

Unfortunately, at this time, Night at the Museum only has an english DTS track (from what I have read). The only tracks able to be heard are foreign languages (like the USUAL SUSPECT bluray). The DTS track is triggered by the bluray menu...

I want to split the m2ts files

Question I want to split the m2ts files

Can I just split the M2TS files from a back-up and play those through the PS3 OS menu? (Video > USB Hard Drive > files) ?

Do I still have to decrypt the files after I back them up from SAK and extract the iso?

Yes files must be decrypted to play on PS3 or PC

decrypted BD disc, kept them as m2ts, used file splitter, but ran into a problem

decrypted BD disc, kept them as m2ts, used file splitter, but ran into a problem

Here's the steps that I took:

1. Ran SAK, ripped BD movie to Ext HDD
2. Merged ISO onto PC - NTFS
3. Mounted ISO
4. Used AnyDVD HD to rip
5. Took largest m2TS file, and split it in 3.5/gb pieces (10 total) using generic file splitter 1.31
6. Put renamed 00001.m2ts - 00010.m2ts back onto ext fat32 HDD
7. connected to PS3, selected Video > USB hit triangle "select all"
8. First file plays awesome!!! sound excellent!!
9. 00007.m2ts, and 00010.m2ts worked as well, others gave me message "unsupported data" and one of them said "Data corrupted"

My question is, is there really a specific numbering sequence to 5 digit code and/or is it the generic file splitter that's giving me problems with this type of file format.

running FW 1.70, i got 10 parts. part 5 was corrupt. the other 9 parts played flawlessly. Even when you click on information, it was pulling up Dolby Digital as the audio codec within PS3

update: re-split the files, smaller sizes 3700 MB instead of 3800, no corrupt errors. Sony recognizes some of them with an AVC icon, hit triangle > info will show audio codec AC3. All parts of the video work!!

and i even kept all these files as raw m2ts!

sorry, which movie was this? AVC ? and the ps3 played 5 channel ac3? I have been holding out upgrading, but this would be worth it

I have had better success with HDTV2MPEG than with filesplitter....

if all of the movie was encoded with AVC, then they should all should avc codec... what were the others showing as a video codec?
