Slim Ps2 lid sensor??

Hey all i just got me a new slim ps2 and action replay to play backups but how do I mod the lid sensor so I can use my action replay as a boot disc??
Anyone have a diagram??

Turn your system over and remove the little feet/covers. There should be 6 screws. Pull out each one. Pry your system open on the side where the stand goes. Be careful. Now work your way around the system, and use the warranty label as a hinge. When you have the system open look at your drive. in the upper left side of the drive is a little beige switch. Its tiny but you should see it. Take a piece of masking tape and cut it about the same size and put it on there. Thats your internal switch.

Now put your system back together and pop the drive open. In the front right hand corner is another switch. Take a small wad of toilet paper and put it into the hole and tape it down. Now you should be able to open your system and it will never know the difference. I use the swap magic disk and just make sure to either close the system while the boot disk is running or hold the disk brake back so it can spin unhindered. When it stops, pop in your backup and close the system up. You're all set.

I found the plastic from q-tips the best to use for the switches,fold one q-tip(without cotton) and tape the bottom ends and then insert in the brake hole,then get another q-tip and fold it in half and tape the top so that the 2 ends are exposed.Then flatten the 2 ends with pliers and flare the ends a bit and then insert that in the front right switch hole.

For the back left switch underneath the hinge what you do is get another q-tip and fold it in half and then flatten the entire q-tip and then have the 2 ends side by side and tape it up that way and curve the end a little to the right and insert that between the hinge and push it so it go all the way in.You might need to adjust the amount of curve to hit the switch.

Magic Keys, Slimtool, Twistool, are all crap. Most of them don't allow you to shut the drive.

Firstly, sensor 2 isn't actually a sensor. It's just a disc break, you can remove it all together.

Sensor 3 is a bitch if you're going to put something in through that little hole from your cd drive. It's easier to open up your console and tape it down.

Sensor 1 - simply put tissue inside then put tape over it.
Instead doing this, will leave you $5 richer.

Interestingly enough, sensor 3 is a curcuit breaker; current goes through it to the mainboard, only when it's pressed down.

You can actally remove sensor 3 and soldier a wire in the circuit it connect to, thus closing the circuit and leaving teh ps2 always thinking it "pressed down".:
