Dante's Inferno Says No to PC Gamers, Hitting Console Platforms

Sorry PC gamers. Dante's keeping his Inferno to himself. Speaking with http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/07/20/ea-no-plans-for-dantes-inferno-for-pc/, an EA PR rep shot down any hopes of a PC version of the hotly anticipated game.

To quote: "When Dante's Inferno was originally announced in December, we attached no platforms to the project. When we came out with a first look for press in February we announced 360/PS3 and then in April we announced PSP.

We never announced a PC SKU nor are there plans for any," the rep said.

Oh well. Maybe PC gamers will have better luck the next time a major publisher decides to turn a contemplative literary masterpiece into a decidedly violent hack 'n' slash.

Yeah, thats it, more and more game developers see that fact there is a warez all over the net and most of it is a PC warez.

Xbox360 can be haxed easily too, you can just burn the disc so you cant expect there so many sells, on PC you can download it in few minutes with today connection speeds, Wii is not high preformance level so you cannot expect a lot of hardcore gamers, handhelds are popular but they are also not much powerful and have low-res displays. Only one remaining way is the PS3 but the Sony is not so... pleasant to new game developers (they're betting on qualified devs.) and because there is no way to hax it many people dont like it, althought is most powerful console, right?

Ideal way to get money as a developer is to make great game on PS3 exclusively for an 1 or 2 years (like GT5, Metal Gear Solid, etc), be lucky, when the game becomes popular -> wait these mentioned 2 years, make it a little bit worse and relase it for other platforms (yo get money from PS3 sells and this will take the rest).

As people see that the versions for other platforms than PS3 are worse and not that good, make second epizode of the game and people will get the PS3 to play it... etc etc... so it is just my own theory it can be completly faulty but... i think it is not
