Nintendo DS "backups" - where is it at?

Where is the Nintendo DS up to? Last i remember someone had something setup where they could execute their own code with metroid ds or something. Has it progessed much if at all, and if it has whats currently possible with it?

There is something called a pass-thru. im not exactly sure how it works, but it only allows you to upload homebrew from the computer and its expensive to build. Supposedly there is a company working on a flash card (GBA style) but its not out yet. Roms have been dumped, but since there is no way to play them, they aren't widespread. There are several emulators in the works but as of now, none run commercial games.

DS is now where you can download some official demos from E3 and play them on you DS with out needing a flash cart/ passme. You do still need them to boot home brew demos/code. And as always you need a compatible Ralink RT2500 chipset based WiFi wireless IEEE 802.11g 54 Mbps 2.4 GHz device either PCI or PCMCIA no USB ones. IDK if I can post links or anything so if anyone wants to know just IM/PM me.

Aside from the game dumps, there is also the NDS $DK floating around (NitroSDK-1_0-040409.zip) and Nintendo_DS_Filesystem_Documents_HTML-LEETS, Nintendo_DS_Memory_and_IO_Documents_HTML-LEETS too I've noticed for those interested.
