Viper Extreme Insert GC disc issue

Hello, I have installed a Viper extreme and have the 1.6 BIOS. When I boot up I get the Viper black screen and choose to direct boot a backed up game, that I own. It then goes to load the game at the regular GC startup screen and then tells me to insert a GC disc. I have received a DRE only one time. Does this constitute doing a POT adjustment? Or is there a chance I just need to re-solder the points (which I have, all except the Yellow one).

I adjusted the POT and the backups now work beautifly on Ritek 16x DVD-R Media burned at 2.4x anything higher at least I tryed 8x and I get DRE's.
