GC: One to One Copy

I'm trying to make a one to one copy using nero 6.6.0.15 of another GC copy. The media I'm using is taiyo yuden. My question - Is it possible to make a one to one copy? If you can... What setup are you guys using.. (i.e burning program, firmware, media type?) I also want to note that the copy that I want to back up work perfectly and the media brand is also TY. So I know for sure it can't be the laser since its playing the copy fine. Thanks for reading.

Not sure of the settings in Nero offhand, but for my GC 1:1 copies of back-ups I just used DVD Decrypter (Mode->ISO->Read and Mode->ISO->Write) and it worked fine here. Maybe someone else can post all the Nero settings for ya though... good luck!

I just finish trying DVD Decrypter but it shows it as an empty disc. I tried backing up a PS2 game and it allows it to read it. I might have to upgrade or downgrade my firmware... Here's my DVD drive specs "NEC DVD -RW ND-3530A" firmware version 103C.

I did one using "exact copy" option in Record Now Max.

Yea i tried reading it in DVD Decrypter and it just says unknown and wont let you copy it to an image.

I don't remember exactly, but I think in Nero you need to do "save tracks".

Nero: Copy DVD usually works for me w/ GC and Xbox back-up copies. Hope that helps.

wait you can make a back up of GC games? do you use the mini DVDs? I find this interesting I would like to backup my naruto 2 game because I find it is getting kind of scratched.

You can use MiniDVD, but you don't have to (I don't for example). If you opt to use full size media, you will have to take the top of the system off and trigger the lid switch. You will need to use media of the -R format, not +R or RW. Also, you will need either a modchip or Phantasy Star+broadband adaptor, but don't get the latter as it is horribly time consuming, complex and difficult.
