I recently installed a Xeno GC mod-chip in my NTSC Gamcube. I'm able to boot up NTSC backups and originals. I'm having a few problems though.
1. When I first turn the Gamecube on, I always hear a semi-loud click noise within the Gamecube which did not take place before installing the chip. Not really a problem, it just kind of concerns me.
2. I have several PAL backups which I am having problems with. They boot but they do not display correctly (black and white, a lot of flickering, picture off-center, etc.) so I'm attempting to use the region-force option by holding down X (also tried Y) and then starting up the Gamecube. This does not fix it.
3. When I view the mod-chip info by holding Start at boot, it displays it in black and white and flickers quite a bit, as if displaying with PAL settings.. I also cannot view the info at all if there is no disc in the drive. It proceeds to just boot into the menu like normal.
I checked the install job and everything seems to be installed correctly. Checked with a multimeter and everything. I see that there is a green LED which indicates that it's working, but as the chip is installed on the underside of the drive and is completely inaccessable while the Gamecube is powered on, I am unable to check it.
