Backing up Gamecube Games without Gamecube - PS3 NEWS

Now that I have a wii and some gamecube games, is there a way for me to make backups of the gc games using my wii or another method on the pc. I do not have a Gamecube. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment, no. Ether get a GC (and mod it somehow) or download images off the net.

the rawdump app will work for GC games. The app will ONLY run on LG-8164b, LG-8163b or LG-8162b LG drives. No other brand. The app was made using LG's firmware no other brand will work if it even starts the dump it is going to be garbage data.

are all the LG drives about the same?

I would assume they are not all the same, ie. a older LG doesnt have the same firmware as a newer one. Those 3 drives are the only ones 100% confirmed though for the LG. I have a 8164 and it works great.

yeah i just bought one from newegg and it works great it was like 20$ total and work flawless with wii/gamecube dummping of discs.
