Xizhilang has released an English-Chinese dictionary for the PSP. Here is what he had to say on this release:
PSP YDICT implements a half-reduction positioning method, it simulates the action of looking up a dictionary manually. There is no need to input the whole word to look it up.
Using a word library from Stardict, it supports several English-Chinese dictionaries including:
- Langdao English-Chinese Dictionary 5.0, 435,468 words
- Oxford Modern English-Chinese Bilingual Dictionary, 39,429 words
The 3 words in the first line of the screen indicate your viewing rage. The words on the left & right are the boundary words of your sight. The word in the center is the one being displayed.
There are 3 colored bars under the 3 words.
White bar indicates the full length of the dictionary, and it takes up the width of the screen.
The Blue bar indicates the bound of the 2 boundary words.
The Red bar indicates the position of the current displayed word.
The left part of the screen is the current vocabulary list.
The Blue word is the current displayed one.
