July 26, 2007 - With Comic-Con ever-growing into a gaming show we - along with many other press outlets - stepped onto the showroom floor expecting gaming goodness by the boatloads, and while we got just that, most of it consists of the same E3 builds we saw just two weeks ago. True, Comic-Con is becoming the unofficial "E3 after-party," but at least that means we've got even more time with all the hottest games of this year, right?

Unfortunately for you, Comic-Con is a crowded, smelly, loud, smelly, somewhat expensive, smelly little event, and it isn't exactly cost-effective for everyone to fly out to San Diego just to play a few rounds of Heavenly Sword, Super Puzzle Fighter, or Zack & Wiki. For that reason we've whipped up the "Booth Breakdown," our own little virtual tour of each of the Comic-Con booths. You get the experience of Comic-Con without the nauseating stench, and we have a good reason to stalk the hot cosplay chicks for the 20th time; it's win/win. Enjoy.
D3 Publisher and Tomy
One of the highlights of last year's Comic-Con adventure was the Naruto party that D3 Publisher held. Along with the amazing food and drink selection, D3 had Clash of Ninja 2 playable for Cube, and a ton of swag-tastic offerings for Comic-Con game patrons. This year was no different. Not only were there a plethora of playable games, but D3 (partnered with Tomy) had a list of game-themed cocktails, brew, and some delicious food once again. Oh, and did we mention there were games there?
Ben 10: Protector of Earth (Wii)
Dragon Blade (Wii)
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution (Wii)
Naruto: Path of the Ninja (DS)
Ed, Edd n Eddy (DS)
Dead Head Fred (PSP)
Dark Sector (360)
Of the games shown, Dragon Blade again was a huge point of interest for players, bust still wasn't playable in true "hands-on" form, but rather only in demo form. Other high points were Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution (which is rumored to have more fighters and more arenas than previously expected), as well as the RE4-meets-Gears of War.
