Rumor: Sony's Director of Information Security at SOE is a Pirate?

SONY is always whining about piracy and how evil pirates are. But are they better themselves? Not really!

While I browsed the web lately, I read a bit about http://www.linkedin.com/pub/bryan-blank/3/681/bb2, the Director of Information Security at SONY Online Entertainment.

Getting a bit more interested I found his private homepage (http://www.asdfg.org/).

By random searching for interesting links I explored the directory "http://www.asdfg.org/uploads/" which contains a lot of illegal hosted, copyrighted music.

So, who are the pirates? We are? You are? Funny to see that SONY's bosses are only normal humans with a bit of normal piracy thoughts as well.

Quite ironic... if those "file downloads" are gone in coming hours/days it will mean someone asked him about this I suppose.

Nah, I think is great news. It's always interesting to see what I suppose you would call high up personnel do in their free time. Director of Information Security providing access to copyrighted material is quite ironic I think. Someone probably isn't going to like this. Nice find SKFU

hmm hosting remixes of songs isn't illegal if they are not paid-for songs.. which they're not.

True indeed, if that is all "homebrew" (non-commercial) music then it shouldn't be an issue.

However, according to the contents in the "incoming.rar" I see mp3's from: Clipse - Til The Casket Drops which appears to be commercial.
