does anyone know if the atari emulators boot with swapmagic discs.

Yes, you should be able to burn them with a SYSTEM.CNF file pointing to the emulator's ELF file to a CDR using MODE 2 (XA)/Form 1 (finalized), and then use the Swap Magic CD disc to boot it up.

anyone made a successful atari emulator for the ps2 that boots with the swapmagic disc,i have followed many guides without success but none say if its only bootable with a modchip.

If you use the System Cnfg. file from any ps2 dvd-rom game which it says system in the files when you bring up all the files in the game on your computer`s dvd drive,it will be the one that looks like a computer sitting in front of a planet,copy and paste that file along with your atari elf file and make a folder and name it roms or whatever you like and put the atari roms inside this folder,then just burn the three together in the mode the Admin. said and make sure in the burning software you are using to select this mode "ISO 9660 only or ISO 9660 standard" or how ever it is worded in that particular software,but just make sure this selection is selected,in the site utilities use this tutorial which uses nero as it`s example and you can kinda see how it`s done,these emulators can also be put onto dvd`s like i do [but use mode 1 instead of 2xa mode from 1] which this is a good guide for that,i haven`t done the atari emulator yet but it should work if everything is followed in that tutorial,and it can be done with cd or dvd the same way.Hope info helps.

starlight tried everything you said to the letter but still nothing,when i boot with swapmagic cd it gives blue border so i think its reading the system file but nothing afterwards,i understand what you say beacuse i did the snes station and had no probs.
i know its a big ask but could you try it yourself to see if its just me,by the look of your ranking on this site it should only take you temn minutes.
i would be gratefull thank you...

Okay i will give it a try,sorry i never got back to you sooner,i will have to find the atari emulator first and roms as i don`t have them.Which one are you trying to make the atari 2600 or the atari 5200.

I got it to work on cd and dvd,but the emulater menu screen and the games sit lower on the screen as if it was a pal game without the rolling image and there is no ghosting and the game plays well except for sitting lower in the screen,so i tried with a pal elf and made a iso file out of the this emulator and theen i patched it with the pal2ntsc patcher with the offset with y-fix set at 24 and the image was right in the center of the screen and works well,but it has a ghosting affect as you can see the words in a transparent form just under the words that are in bold form,i will try some more tests to see if i can correct this ghosting.Note the pal2ntsc patcher did not take the rolling screen out,but using swap magic cd did using the ntsc mode selection did take out the rolling screen,but the ghosting is still there,but i will try some more methods and see if i can correct it.

I haven`t worked on it tonite,but i will resume later on today trying some differant methods to see if the ghosting problem by using the patcher to move the screen image up can be corrected.
