Pop Star Michael Jackson is Dead at 50, Rest In Peace

The article title says it all

This is the last updated news: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

The circumstances of Jackson's death remain unclear. Law enforcement sources said that Los Angeles Police Department robbery-homicide detectives have opened an investigation into the death, though they stressed that there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

There is no word yet on the fate of the recent Michael Jackson video game that was supposed to follow his European tour, and was scheduled to hit consoles during the holiday 2009 season.

It's sad to see such influential celebrities pass away. RIP Michael Jackson.

This came like a total shock for me. I came home, turned on the TV and saw this sad story. I was surprised...
I grew up with his music during my childhood and let's be honest whether you like him or not, he was a huuuge icon in the music industry, with his own revolutionary style. Thriller FTW and Michael Jackson R.I.P.

Who'd expect that he'd die in 2009...

Michael Jackson made such a huge impact, this is most likely the biggest star/celebrity/icon death since Elvis. Anything that could make twitter crumble on its knees is certainly gigantic.

I cannot wait till his new material is released, I know he was working on new material with will.i.am as producer for a bit.

even unvaluable copies of his records are selling for way more than they're worth on ebay right now. this always happens. his 80's videos were great.
