Capcom's Keiji Inafune has http://kotaku.com/5140686/new-dead-rising-and-lost-planet-might-be-multi+platform that the company is planning new instalments in the Dead Rising and Lost Planet franchise, hinting that the forthcoming sequels may be released for multiple platforms.
To quote: "We're finally putting out new Dead Rising and Lost Planet games! As a main principle we're thinking about multi-platform, and expanding upon both slightly from the Xbox 360 versions," said Inafune, head of Research & Development and Online Business for the Japanese publisher.
Given that the majority of Capcom's franchises have been released for multiple consoles recently, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the publisher is thinking about taking the same route with sequels to Dead Rising and Lost Planet.
As many will no doubt recall, the original Lost Planet was released exclusively for the Xbox 360 back in 2006, before finally making its way to PlayStation 3 the following year. Similarly, Devil May Cry 4 eventually found its way onto Microsoft's console and PC having originally been conceived as a PS3 exclusive. Stay tuned.
