Following yesterday's rumor of a THQ takeover by EA came another, this time http://www.thestreet.com/story/10602302/1/tech-rumor-microsoft-eyeing-ea.html that Microsoft is eyeing EA.

Citing information from traders, a Reuters report said there was "unsubstantiated talk" that Microsoft (MSFT) is interested in buying the publisher of the Madden, Medal of Honor and FIFA series.

However, Microsoft spokesman David Dennis has already dispelled the rumor that they are interested in buying the major videogame publisher.

To quote: "There is no truth to this rumor," he said in an e-mail to SeattlePI.com, "we have no plans to purchase EA."
