After being a Gamefly subscriber for about half a year, I had to switch over to Gamerang, simply because I was not satisfied with the turnaround time. Since I live on Long Island, and GF's distribution center is based in California, that was why I was having such poor turnaround. So some of you recommended Gamerang. Turnes out, they have a distribution center in New Jersey. And with a selection of games similar to that of GF, I switched. I was very impressed during the first month. I was getting about 8 games a month, where I was getting about 4 in GF. Then as the past few months have gone by, I began to see a decrease of turnaround. Now I was getting 6 games a month. And now just this past May, I have received 4 games for all of the month.
I have began to notice that even after a week later of when I return my games, they never show a status of returned in my queue. Instead it still shows the game as rented out. So I fill out their "shipping problem" form. Nothing. 2 days later I do it again, and now I get a automated email, asking me if I was smart enough to drop it into a USPS mailbox and when I did it.
Well, lets put it this way. Since GF i have always used a USPS box, so unless someone is changing around mailboxes, I doubt I messed that part up. Now if I send the games back and a week later I fill out their form, why even ask me such a stupid question? Now, I know they have to ask me that. But come on, everytime I have to fill out a report, its the same thing over and over.
My point really is that Im beginning to think these rental places deliberatly delay their processing so you can't have more games. More games for us means more shipping $$$'s for them. Am I alone with this or do some of you have similar testimony?
