    Gamecube Lid sensor problem

    Sponsored Links
i have an unmodded cube which i still havn't got around to modding due to a broken soldering iron, it is now open and in pieces but i just reassembled it (without putting the cover on (screws would take too long) but when i boot it up it goes straight to the gamecube menu and doesnt read any discs, as when i go into gameplay it just shows a (?), i think that it thinks the lid is open. What hav i done wrong?

put some adesive tape on the lid sensor, so the cube thinks the lid is closed or put the top lid on the gamecube again..

In the upper right corner, under the top cover is tiny switch, that looks like two levers (on a small PCB with connector). This is the lid sensor, just push it down and "?" sign will change into "no disc". For pernament solution use some tape or something like that.
