Darn jury duty - PS3 NEWS

I should be at the convention center in Indiana celebrating with the other Star Wars nuts, but I got stuck doing jury duty.Well at least I can add some finishing touches to my Vader Costume. Anyone else dressing up for Episode 3 I got a gig at a movie complex to take pics with fans plus it gives me cash and unlimited times to see the movie free.

Well, now to finish waxing my Helmet. ( See pic Below)

in my state, getting your car liscenced also gets you registered to vote. You can't win.

registering to vote has nothing to do with being chosen for jury duty...as long as you are a US citizen or a permanent resident you will most likely get called...i got called when I was 18, but I didn't have to go..since i was a standby juror...but hey..at least you'll get $13.50 or something around that..you can buy sum DVDrs hehehe

The law changed for jury duty! Now all you have to be is a U.S. citizen and lived in your place of residence for a year.I registered to vote when I was 18 now I'am 37 and this is the first time.However, My job pays jury duty so I will get paid from work and I get $ 40.00 dollars a day from the court, plus the court will reimburse you for travel expenses like if you take the subway etc... you have to check with them for details as all courts are different.

Not many employers pay for jury duty. Usually it is only the government(local,state,federal) that pays. With them it doesn't matter how much you get for the jury duty, you have to give them the money in order to be paid your regular wage. I've done jury duty a couple of times. Didn't get picked for a case, so it was REALLY boring.
