57w ago - Following up on the previous update and recent PS4 ISO game dumps, today Microsoft hacker C4Eva announced he dumped the first XBox One game Call of Duty: Ghosts with details below.

To quote, roughly translated: C4eva, the person behind the XBox 360 hacking with iXtreme firmware, has announced that it has managed to dump the first Xbox game One from a Blu-ray disc, the Call of Duty: Ghosts.

No more information given, for example, if it has done with a Blu-ray ordinary or had to modify its firmware, as needed at the time with the XBox 360 DVD.

Obviously this does not mean that the burden of backups on the new console from Microsoft is close or anything like that. But one thing can not live without the other, they pararelos paths, and always arrives before the dumpeo of the games that the possibility of loading.

In fact, as the day came to be uploaded (within three months or within 3 years) this dump is not worth and you have to patch it, for example. But as a curiosity, there it is. He states:

First xbone disc dump completed! Ghosts 47Gb! XG4 cometh!

XG4=XboxGamedisc4 – Bluray Disc Type Identifier from PIC (Permanent Information and Control data zone) on the disc!

CoD Ghosts psn layer 0 start/end: 0x 00100000/00ad7f1e (00ad7f1e-00100000) 1=9d7f1f sectors *0800=4ebf8f800 (21,138,831,360 bytes)

CoD Ghosts psn layer 1 start/end: 0x 015280e0/01effffe (01effffe-015280e0) 1=9d7f1f sectors – same as layer 0 *0800=4ebf8f800 (21,138,831,360 bytes)

= Total Disc 42,277,662,720 bytes

The disc is made up of one metadata folder with some pics and one package1.xvc file of 41,285,020 KB length

In related news Juvenal1 made available some XBox One HDD Tools with details below, as follows:

What this does

Given any HDD over 500GB in size, you can format it for use with your Microsoft Xbox One console

All of this must be done as root! I HIGHLY suggest you do this on a livecd or usb booted system if you don't 'know linux' and would rather not wipe the wrong hard drive.

  • Connect your HDD and take note of what its called (ex: sda, sdb etc)
  • Run the script with the device name as the first parameter
  • It will whine about missing partitions etc, but write a file with commands to create said missing partitions
  • Run the created script
  • Copy the correct files to the newly created partitions
  • Unmount the newly created partitions
  • Run the main script again

Putting it back together

When you put the new HDD in your console for the first time and boot up, the console will go the the green "Xbox One" screen, pause for a second or two, then shut down. Boot the console again. This time it should pause at the green screen for a while longer, then go to a black screen for even longer. It can take several minutes before anything happens after this, the xbox is automatically creating temporary files during this time. If you copied everything correctly, it WILL go to the dashboard eventually, just be patient!

What is linux?

Wait for a windows version

Below is an XBox One Debug Mode Unlock Method as follows:

A method to unlock the debug mode on a retail Xbox One has been found. Some proof that Microsoft's statements that 'every Xbox One can be used for development' is true and maybe will encourage indie developers.

This method may not fully convert a retail console into a dev kit but it could possibly help some small developers that can not afford to purchase a full dev unit to get started on making some ideas started. To quote (via logic-sunrise.com/news-678604-le-mode-debug-de-la-xbox-one-en-images.html), roughly translated:

Xbox One does not stop talking to her. After an announcement of a first nand dump and a software to change the hard drive of the console, this is a person wishing to remain unknown sharing this information: the method of activation Debug mode is now known! For the average user, this feature does you no good. But for devs, this can open a lot of doors.

For those wishing to see the debug mode by themselves simply go to System One Xbox and press the four gates of the controller parameter (LB - RB - LT - RT) and "parameter Developer" menu will appear.

Here is an XBox One Game Dump Tutorial by Swizzy (via logic-sunrise.com/news-683960-ls-exclue-tuto-dump-dun-jeu-xbox-one-par-swizzy.html):

His first ISO, Forza Motorsport 5 (28GB), was dumped using a PIONEER BD-RW BDR-208D burner with original firmware 1.10 - ID61. Swizzy doesn't know if the security sector is included in the ISO dump or not.

To quote, roughly translated: Swizzy, a member of our forums and freshly equipped with its new Xbox One, gives us more information about the dump Xbox ONE and therefore a tutorial LS. First, dump Forza weighs 5 28GB. For him, dump a game X1 was relatively easy. With a Pioneer exact model: PIONEER BD-RW BDR-208D carrying a 1.10-ID61 original firmware, it was able to dump his ImgBurn via disc. The iso contains similar data to the first dump C4E, one package1.xvc file.

Swizzy specifies that he is not sure that the ISO contains the security sector and he has not had time to test longer. In all cases, the result is the same as what got C4eva.

The Imgburn information are as follows (below).

Below is an XBox One NAND diagram released by Internet scene profiteer Paul Owen (aka Xecuter)

Still not sure whether or not it deserves a buy. I started off on the 360, went to PS3, and now I own both consoles. With E3 tomorrow (in my case) I hope that Microsoft and Sony can clarify questions that many gamers have been asking.

Look like a VCR if you ask me. The Xbox One is basically current gen features and almost tech.

Black Box! Design looks like a step in the wrong direction IMO.

With these requirements on the list, sticking to high performance PC is obligatory.
