207w ago - I am curious as to what company the most people think won E3. Now this is derived more at their press conferences. So for those who have watched them all like I have it will be a little easier for you.
Now I personally believe Microsoft and Sony had great Press conferences. But I'll get back to them in a minute, as I have a bone to pick with the third competitor.
I am of course talking about Nintendo. They had arguably the WORST E3 PRESS CONFERENCE IN HISTORY! Lets start with my biggest problem, How much they gloated during their show!
Now I can see where you would say maybe once, twice even three times that you are "The leader in sales" or in your opinion "The most innovative". But Nintendo seriously said it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! which ended up taking up 50 minutes of their 70 minute long video.
The format was this. "Talk about how innovative Nintendo has always been, Talk about how Innovative the Wii is, Talk about how innovative the DSi is (My behind), Talk about a game for 2-5 minutes." Although the first 3 could be in any order, the "talk about a game" always came last.
And that's how it went. On top of that, just for giggles I guess, they brought back the "Broken leg" Lady who talked about her broken leg for 15 minutes last year. Instead shes now staring of into space saying "WE INNOVATE BECAUSE WE DO!!!"
And I understand Nintendo is trying to market it as a family device, but you don't do that at E3! The BIGGEST gaming expo in the world!
I seriously would have had a better time re-watching their press conference from LAST YEAR then this one time.
To move on... Microsoft and Sony both brought their best game to this conference. Although Sony's show clearly had a better format to it (The way in which the show played out).
The announcements were very shocking and deserve much prase. Of course they both messed up big time on at least one issue. But I'll get to that later let me for the time being name the things they talked about that really made people Excited.

• New Forza
• Final Fantasy XIII shown running on 360
• First Alan Wake game

Now this is obviously not everything they had at the show, but these are the things that will stick out the most.
In my personal opinion Sony had the better show but I do want to get Splinter cell Conviction really badly so the chances of me picking up a 360 finally increase.
But I do have a problem with two of the things announced. 1: Natal And... 2: PSR.
Lets start with Natal. Natal is the project name for Microsoft's new experience where you don't use a controller. I personally think the idea in general is stupid. I don't understand why you would want to sit there holding your hands up to drive a car... I mean come on thats not realistic at all.
The Facial and Voice recognition sound great on paper. However those things rarely work in real life. In fact I can't think of a single publicly available program that works 100% correctly.
That said if that works it will be pretty cool. Though they are not the first to offer scanning objects, Sony is with their PS Eye.
To move on to Sony's motion control, I will admit I have never been a very big fan of remotes for game play.
Although I believe it's going to work better then Natal, I can't help but feeling that it will be a absolute waste of money. I don't think people will develop for it. AND I feel the graphics are going to be WORSE then the wii's for all games using it.
Admittedly it's better then the Wii mote. But it still looks lousy as of now. But unlike Natal I can see some use in game for like maybe your holding a flash light.
Now The reason I hate these products is the fact they are all just gimmicks to get you to spend a extra $100 on your console for something you will never use. It won't catch on to the casual gamer so I don't know why they made something this casual.
At any rate I am done ranting. As I said before, because the exclusives are better I pick Sony this year.

Playstation won it hands down. they brought out the psp go. super cool looking device. after seeing that i will go out an buy a psp. Plus the list on upcoming game titles.
Final Fantasy 13 AND 14
Assasins Creed 2... come on, that video was sick as hell. my brother sitting next to me thought it was a movie. It looked so real.
My vote the PS2 has it all the way!
Last thing if forgot to add to my last post was the motion sensing technologies that the ps3 is going to have will blow the competition out of the water. the Ps3 eye combined with the controller is going to make players feel like they are actually IN the game itself. like i said before PS3 all the way
That's exactly what I disliked about their show. The E3 is about showing what you've got and not showing how much money you got. Putting guys on stage there like Tony Hawk (that showed his skateboard, while Natal can do better. Which makes that thing obsolete), Spielberg and the Beatles to be able to sell your products is not a thing I would consider to put up a better show. It only shows you got money and/or shows that you're missing something to fill in the gap.
The problem with Sony's conference was that there was too much leaked already before the conference. If you don't count that, they definately had the best show.
As for the clap thing...shouldn't the crowd be clapping instead of the presentator? I mean that's the worst thing a host can do. It shows that either the crowd is not interrested enough, or that you're delivering an underperformed show. Unless a host wants to thank the crowd at the end of a show for being such a great crowd, he shouldn't clap.
I mean he clapped his hands like every sentence he made, how can that be a better show? It's annoying.
Don't get me wrong it was a good show, but it had these things that....
As for Natal and Milo, I think it can score high in the Adult Industry, but less for hardcore gaming. Not sure about the Sony stick either, but it seems more practical for hardcore games then natal. (how're you gonna play games like Halo with Natal?? I'm sure you're living room isn't as big as the levels in Halo)
Yes you have been accused of being a Xbot in the past but I know you're not. Only time me and you really fought was when we didn't realize we were basically saying the same thing with 1 minor difference. (Beings that I believe because the cell can take some of the stress from the graphics card the PS3 has more potential even though the 360 has the best GPU).
Anyway, In terms of Innovation Microsoft won obviously. And the things they are releasing are nice but like I said before it probably won't work right with the stuff you will actually want to use it for. I can't see Natal working good for anything but navigating. Games will be like eye toy games just like you said, and I have a feeling it's fate is the same as the PS eye, as the PS eye could already do all of that minus the facial recognition, and sound identification (PS eye can scan objects as well)...
But it's for that reason I said Microsoft lost E3. Sure Splinter cell looks pretty good and so does halo. But Where were all the AAA exclusives? I swear Sony showed at least 10-13 and Microsoft had only 4. And since Natal looks like it's not going to really offer anything new in terms of game play, Sony clearly won in my opinion.
As for who won in terms of hardware? If you don't count the PSP Go then Microsoft won. If you count the PSP go but remove the PSR Sony won. That's how big of a deal this is in my opinion. Sony Finally released a product that looks awesome that can compete with the Ipod in the music market. I hope they make 1 minor change by putting a d-pad on the outside of the console as well so music is easier to access. But other then that it's awesome. And although the PSP go was announced already, It was meant to be a official announcement there. So Sony had the best show in everything set up, it just didn't play out too well. So PS3 lost in hardware, PSP kicked everyone's butts.
Consider your self lucky you didn't have to see Nintendo's lol.
Sony was a big winner in my opinion. But I respect yours so Rep+.
Only thing I really need to say is Sony had a much more straight forward presentation and I felt it was much better. Lets just agree Nintendo's sucked.
I watched all 3 and I felt they had the best in everything except technology which I gave to Microsoft for being the Second console this generation (They had it on previous consoles before, and I forgot about the add-on the PS3 has). And they are taking a chance with facial recognition.
Why would the graphics suffer because of the wand thing, they were just not that good in the presentation because it was a tech demo. I am sure if developers pick up on it, they can make fantastic games. I love how u can hold two to emulate two hands.
When the wii first came out I always wondered why they did not do the same with a motion sensing controller in each hand. With the ps3 wand you can finally have serious sport games, where it is not all about button mashing, and other games can become so much more immersive.
