236w ago - Senior VP of EA Games Europe Patrick Suderland described the Xbox 360 as "Maxed out", in comparison to the PS3.
This comment came in tow of Sony's and Microsoft's presentations at the recently-concluded E3 2009 Expo.
That's not to say he meant it in a bad way, however, to quote:
I like the Natal. That's cool. It's an interesting device, so I'm truly impressed by Xbox. It's my personal favorite console... I think Microsoft is on a roll right now. They're doing really well. If I was Sony, I would have a headache, to be honest.
He did say too, however, that Sony does have a lot of good games this year. "If you go to their booth, there's a very consistent, high-quality product line-up and that will help them." Now this is where the "maxed out" statement comes out.
I do think that we'll see developers inside the organization getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we're getting more power out of PS3 right now... I think that we've maxed out the 360 but we haven't maxed out the PS3.

Even so, lately I haven't seen games that truly wow me like Uncharted 2 has. I believe that the 360 is "maxed out" in terms of the lazy programmers that are used to just churning out games like they did on PC, if they want to extract greater potential from 360 they will have to start programming smart like most developers are starting to do on PS3.
I think ea is just clumsy with there ports of games between systems and that there sloppy enough that they think they have maxed out the 360, but look at forza 3 or some of the other titles that look beautiful and gorgeous.
there always a way to improve code for games or tweak and enhancements..
