179w ago - As a follow-up to the previous XBox 360 Slim Backup news, today the x360Key hard drive game loader is officially announced along with a video of an x360Key prototype running an AP25 protected game on XBox Dashboard version 2.0.12625.

To quote: Running a custom Linux system, x360key is capable of immaculately emulating the optical disk drive in Xbox 360, allowing you to play all your Xbox 360 (and Xbox 1) games from any USB media. It is compatible with all Xbox 360 models, both Fat and Slim, and offers advanced features such as emulation of the AP25 protection.

But will it blend? Interesting news no doubt, I wonder how far the CFW scene on Xbox will take this new item ( and how long before someone releases a free diy version ) I would hope it will allow the 360 to use any size hard-drive ( without jtag ) and possibly explode the way this scene has.

lol it feels like the only reason its here is cuz 360 usb backup manager finally made it to 360 like ps3, but in relation it that we are at 3.60 and 360 is finally catching up with editing firmware with backup manager, now its a race it seems like to see which one becomes fully hacked with out soldering V.S.

and plz just find this entertaining..

This site shows MORE than just PS3news... its primary focus is on PS3 (and PSP)... i remember when this used to be PS2ownz.com or something like that and it was PS2 stuff... now it's PS3news.com, i've seen a number of Xbox and Nintendo and even iPhone news on here...

Well said DaedalusMinion and saviour07 and +Rep, and yep this is posted in our Console News section versus the PS3 News one.

We also posted on it is because with PSN down so has Sony's US and EU blog news updates... it's been a slow few days, so things like this for XBox 360 and the Wii next-gen news fill in the gaps nicely until Sony gets back in gear.
