Graphic Designers: Seeking Fresh PS4 News User Rank Forum Badges!

17w ago - As we continue to update things for the PlayStation 4 style in our Forums, we are now seeking some PS4-themed User Rank Badge graphics to be designed!

If any graphic designers out there are interested, simply reply to this thread and attach your badge submissions following the criteria below.

PS4 News User Rank Badge Criteria:

  • The badges should match the overall look of our Forums with a Sony PS4 theme.
  • The badges should be transparent to work with any color background (preferably in .png format but .gif is acceptable)
  • The badges should be no larger than approximately 125x25 pixels in width and height but can be a bit smaller.
  • Seeking (10) badges in total with the following labels on them: Registered, Contributor, Jr Member, Member, Sr Member, VIP Member, Moderator, Banned, Coder, and Developer.

XBox One Controller PC Drivers Are Now Available via Major Nelson

20w ago - Those with an XBox One console can now use their controllers on desktop or laptop as Microsoft's Major Nelson has now announced that XBox One Controller PC drivers are now available!

To quote: Beginning today, new PC drivers for the Xbox One controller will be available for download, offering PC gamers a better way to play using the Xbox One controller. We’re planning to release the drivers as part of a Windows update in the near future; however, today, I am happy to offer early access to our dedicated PC gamers on MajorNelson.com.

We know our fans have wanted PC compatibility, and we know they wanted to be able to use the Xbox One controller with the same games and applications they have been playing with using the Xbox 360 controller. We can’t wait for them to play their favorite PC games with what we consider the best controller ever made and we’re excited for fans to experience the improved D-pad, redesigned battery compartment, new comfortable design and offset analog sticks.

Nintendo Wii U SDK / Cafe SDK 1.7 WiiU & Game Title Key by PoWeRUp

22w ago - Following up on the Nintendo Wii U hacking updates by the Four Horseman, Team Fail0verflow (bushing, marcan, etc), bubba and Wii U game dumps by VENOM, today scene release group PoWeRUp made available a Nintendo Wii U SDK / Cafe SDK 1.7 WiiU and Game Title Key for those not conned into the latest money-making scheme by MAXiMiLiEN (Max Louarn) and GaryOPA (Gary Wayne Bowser) with the Cobra UDE / WiiKey U / WiiKeU folks to peddle unnecessary Wii U ODE devices.

According to the Wii U NFO File, release group PoWeRUp has all of the Nintendo Wii U SDK's and Game Title Keys and plans to release them for free to spite the dubious scene profiteers starting with the older ones below, as follows:

Site News: Bug Fixes, Quick Reply to Articles Now Allows Commenting

27w ago - Following up on our last update of being 100% ad-free for all Registered Users, we have recently updated the backend to patch the [Register or Login to view links], remedied the activation e-mail issue users reported and also fixed the Quick Reply box below each article.

For those unaware, if you click on any article headline from our main page, you can open it in Article View (versus Forum View) and now type a comment in the Quick Reply box (pictured below). Feel free to give it a try if you wish in this article!

Finally, we still have a handful of items to tackle on our to-do list since the upgrade but we're getting there... so if you have any new ideas or suggestions feel free to share them in our ongoing Forum thread and we will do out best to make them happen in coming months and enjoy!

32w ago - Hey all, we are still actively upgrading our Web site and Forums to the new PlayStation 4 style, but wanted to let those who are not yet members know that we have now ditched 100% of the ads for all Registered Users who are logged in!

Our goal is to enable members to post more frequently on our boards without having to navigate between advertisements to do so.

If you wish to view our site completely ad-free, simply Register at PS3News.com and then login to enjoy browsing the site with no advertisements at all!

Finally, if you have any other suggestions (once our current to-do list is finished) simple reply to this thread to share them and we will review and try to incorporate the ideas as time permits. Thanks to all of our new and returning visitors in advance for your feedback!
