The PixelJunk team wants fans to try Eden, their latest game. As a bonus, they are currently offering a free download of the Monsters Encore expansion.
The add-on pack adds 15 new levels (and a random level generator). This should be a deal for those that love PJM and are looking for something new, but note the deal ends on October 16, 2008.

Just over two weeks ago there were reports of WipEout HD crashing/freezing and some partially-working DIY-style fixes.
The good news is, WipEout HD has now been patched in order to fix the common game freezing problem among PSN users with over 50 friends.
Currently this patch is available for the European version only, though it is expected to go live in America very soon. The patch notes, which can be retrieved from within the game, state that your save file needs to be deleted after the patch has been installed for the fix to take affect.
This means your lap times, team loyalties and other single-player stats and options will be lost. Your trophies and leaderboard scores, however, won't be lost.
If you've been sidestepping the issue by playing whilst signed out of the PSN, starting again is no doubt quite an annoyance. Don't... More »

Per John Diamonon (Capcom) via PS Blog:
I’m glad to be back here with the PlayStation Posse and talk about a game that I’m looking forward to – Age of Booty. No, it’s not an online dating game.
It’s a casual, pirate-themed, online strategy game from some of the makers of Halo.
Actually, I consider this more of a multiplayer party game because it’s really easy to play and allows for a lot of smack talk. Yarrr!
Here are more details:
• Release date: Soon (I’ll confirm when I get a solid date)
• Price: Only $9.99!
• Trophies: No comment at this time.
• Add on content: Lots of free map packs in the future plus some cool expansions.
• Players: Up to 8 players online – You can play a 4 player local match then take the team online!
• Demo:Available a couple weeks after launch with online multiplayer matches!

According to an article published on the PlayStation Games & Media News site last week, a PlayStation Network version of Prince of Persia Classic is on its way.
The PSN version appears to be the same as the XBLA release from last year, which saw a graphical and control upgrade to the original (and retro frustrating) Prince of Persia from 1989.
There's currently no price announced for the title, but if we had to guess, it would be $10 like the XBLA version.
Finally, Ubisoft has been contacted and asked about a release date, more details to come as they are available.
With PlayStation Home on the way soon (at least we hope it is, but we would not bet money on it), Sony has shown an image at TGS 2008 that shows what companies they are working with to include features in Home.
Sony did not reveal what each companies would be doing what, so some could just be sticking their logo on in-game items, while others may going all out and creating rooms to go hand in hand with upcoming game.
Regardless, the list of companies looks interesting, with many of the big names in the industry looking to offer something to the service.
However, we have to say the lack of a SquareEnix logo is very surprising.
According to the official Japanese SCEJ site, the current closed PlayStation 3 Home BETA is due to end in a matter of weeks, presumably then opening up the final 1.0 version to a wider public.
Additionally, here’s a list of companies that have signed up as partners for Home, providing content, spaces etc:
- IREM
- Activision
- Acquire
- Atlus
- Walt Disney Japan
- SNK
- EA
- Capcom
- Q Entertainment
- Game Republic
- Genki
- Koei
- Konami
- Spike
- Sega
- D3 Publisher
- Tecmo
- Nippon Ichi Software
- Hudson
- Bandai Namco Games
- Ubisoft
Finally, Home has a major presence at TGS this year, as can be seen by these photographs from the show.
