Damn i have a liteon, now that would very annoying putting Actvate.iso in the drive before you playing games with Wave 4 update. I hope they come out with an update or downgrade for the liteon before more games are released.

If you have a Samsung, BenQ or Lite-On 74850c drive you could choose to downgrade to iXtreme 1.51 to boot wave4 games. iXtreme 1.51 did not check the size of the video partition so it will boot any wave. iXtreme 1.6 brought the checks back for better security, but c4e coded a workaround into iXtreme 1.6 that allows "one shot" booting of non-stealth or unknown sized discs (new waves).
To do this you use the 0800 disc (activate.iso) that is available on this site and is also included with the iXtreme 1.6 firmware. Additional details on usage are in the iXtreme 1.6 README file. Obviously this method may not be safe for Xbox Live and should be used offline only and at your own risk." |
corrupt/bad PFI/Video partition, however the program is actually still completely compatible with Wave 4 games. Once a
Wave4 title is verified, abgx360 will still download the .ini from the database and fully check out the image. If the image matches and the game is verified, then it has also passed the stealth checks and thus it is as safe to play as any wave3 or
wave2 game."
So, if you boot a VERIFIED Wave4 game using this above mentioned bootdisk, you should be just as safe as you were booting a verified wave 3 game. Also, it is not any safer to boot the backup with 1.51, so I would rather wait for new iX version, than spend my time flashing back to 1.51 (which is naturally more unsafe than 1.6).
And you should remember, than non stealth discs write logs (removing HDD / Mem. card wont help) to your XB even when you're not in Live, so you shouldn't ever play any nonstealth backups, if you are willing to keep playing in Live with that XB.
[NB, Checked Wave4 games are actually stealth, even if current abgx360 v1.0.1 & iE1.6 doesn't recognize it].
