In a follow-up to an article published earlier today, it seems that Microsoft has taken a back seat in making 'waves' in the gaming industry... most of which are PS3 exclusives as of late.

Now before the XBox 360 fanboys out there chew up this article and spit it out, hear me out... Earlier in the life cycle of the XBox 360, there were games released that were praised and adored for the technology and visuals they brought to gaming, one of which was 'Gears of War', this highly intense Third Person shooter was epic in every sense of the word, no pun intended.

'Gears of War' was THE game to own an XBox 360 for, with XBox 360 owners using it as a tool for arguments against PS3 users, who argued their system was more "powerful".

Everything from the games' graphics to it's cover-centric gameplay was brilliant, and indeed one of the many reasons the original 'Gears of War' was hyped for, was it's visuals. However after the release of the sequel, 'Gears of War 2', which saw noticeable visual improvements to the first, the XBox 360 has wittered out of the race to console visual superiority.

What am I saying? well if you take a look at the main set of upcoming games for the PlayStation 3, you will notice something very common amongst them. Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and God of War 3, are games that are pushing what is possible on consoles, and what are they? PS3 exclusives.

Killzone 2 is currently being touted and hailed as the best looking console game so far this gen, to which I strongly agree, the game quite simply blows everything that has come before it away in terms of visual excellence.

And when you see debates about which game will set the next graphical leap, you never hear a 360 exclusive mentioned... it only seems like a battle between PS3 exclusives. Not even Alan Wake gets a mention.

It really seems like Microsoft are no longer interested in showing off what their console can do, while Sony on the other hand are eager to show just what the PS3 can do, understandable considering the price tag.

Now I am not saying the PS3 is more powerful than the XBox 360, there is no solid proof to that statement, but with games like God of War 3, presenting such an epic scale of gameplay with the 'titan' gameplay, Killzone 2's mind blowing visuals, Uncharted 2's sublime art style and visuals and Heavy Rains 'ultra-realistic' technology, it really does seem like the games that are blowing minds, dislocating jaws and making people gasp for air in excitement are PS3 exclusives.

I've got one word to dispute this article; price.

I purchased the entry level XBOX 360 Arcade last week for $199. Right now the entry level PS3 is $399.... I understand that the PS3 can play blue ray discs, but just like with the PS2, people are noticing that the drive can wear faster if you use it for movie viewing.

$399 vs. $199... it doesn't take a math wiz to see that bang for buck the 360 is a far better way to go. And as far as spending $399 on a console system, I would rather take that money and upgrade my computer rig....

just saying..
