Valve Not Bothering With PS3, Newell Apologizes to PS3 Owners

valve pffft... their only good game (which they bought out) was counter strike.

they make NO good games today so who really cares... ps3 is missing out on nothing!!

yeah the first half life was ok because it ran on quake2 tech.

and you could write mod's for it ala counterstrike.. but thats the way the cake cuts.

Haha, sure those other games they've made Half-life, Team Fortress, Portal, and Left 4 Dead are not as popular as Counter Strike, hell you probably never even heard of them. So no big loss to the PS3 boys. :crazy:

PS3 owners aren't outraged that they don't have all the valve games. Developers go where the money goes. Unless they are truly so lazy and don't want to put the effort into reaching out to another market. With the fact that piracy is rampant on the xbox 360 why not offer games to a customer base willing to buy games.

To the hell with Valve and the fatso over there. He don´t have to apologize to me, ´cause I hate valve games (specially Half Life) and I´ve never bought one and never will.

Yeah, you'd think they would be more inclined to develop games for a platform that isn't hacked yet.

I really don't like it when developers ignore something. I've heard him say they don't develop on the ps3 because it's too complicated. That makes no sense to me because right now I'm playing Uncharted, GTAIV, Skate 2 and will in the future be playing gran turismo 5 and god of war 3. How is it that all these developers can work with it just fine but the people who made the FPS genre their b!tch with Half-Life 1 & 2 can't cut it?

I disagree, Half life 2 is in my opinion the greatest first person shooter of all time. Portal is in my opinion, one of the best puzzle games of all time if not the best (Though they didn't really make it). Team Fortress sucks in my opinion. Or not very fun to be kind. And Left 4 dead isn't one I have tried.

Orange Box was the best value-price game i ever bought for ps3. (and i have a lot of games)
I grew up with HL1 and CS, so HL2 was a musthave.
Like CyanCaze mentioned, Portal is the most amazing puzzle game ever made.
I could play team fortress for days. Amazing teamwork experience, 5 uniques class specialties. Brilliant game

But that like all they did in those 3 years. Port games

Gabe...I don't miss anything on my PS3 from Valve. These ugly Ports from HL. I don't understand why they don't want to make games on PS3. More money for them. But we don't need Valve.

They really have had no new ideas since the war lol, no I do not r8 your games sir and you really shouldn't of eaten all the pies you should of saved the money and re-invested in some decent creators, but hey, if you like one life blocky crap thats alright with me, waste of SPACE. lol
