PS3 Slim rumor of a September 2nd European launch date, today comes the latest chapter in PlayStation 3 Slim speculation.
UK site GhostStorm (linked above) is reporting that UK chain
WHSmith are currently selling PS3 consoles in-store at a reduced price of £200.
When they asked the retailer a reason for the clearance, they were told, to quote:
"We are clearing PS3s to make room for any new products that may come from Sony in the future."
So the question that now remains: Is WHSmith privy to some information on an upcoming PS3 Slim model, or is their giant clearance exercise completely unrelated to a potential PlayStation 3 Slim appearance this fall? Time will tell...
PS: Can anyone else confirm that WHSmith is selling them for £200 locally?
