Thanks for posting this Made Man. I almost forgot how old this baby is. It seems longer.
I am on my second PS3. The first one was beautiful; just had to sell it due to financial problems.
I upgraded to a 250GB hard drive and I am a proud owner.
I am well aware of the competitors out there but the PS3 is for me.
I wish I could hack it :D to see what games were good before I bought them but, either way I am happy with the system overall.

No prob! I'm still on my first PS3 here (60GB HDD, launch system). Currently I use it to watch TV show rips on via USB, and since it's still on Firmware 1.10 that is about all I can do with it. :p
I know the feeling though, a friend of mine didn't want to sell his PS3 (launch unit also) but he had to recently due to financial issues too. I had to help find a home for his 170lb dog (a mastiff), who he also had to get rid of as he's moving to a cheaper place to live... wasn't easy! :wacky:

I lost count of the number of PS3's I've own....I currently have 3 in my living room. I am pretty certain that it's above 12... the next one I get I am holding on to though, I think I finally got it down to what I want if I can't have my system play my own games... a system I can play my games I purchased.

Well i must say you have certainly done a good job of not being hacked (well at least not publically anyway) even though ppl are stating its not worth it yet because the costs of the disks and burners or the machine is too expensive to start fiddling with it and even if a method was found will they be willing to install a soft mod or modchip?
Its points on your side.
Perhaps its going the sameway the gamecube is going which gets hacked when its near your end of life... at the end of the day ppl claim with videos they have found exploits they "claim" but nothing ever meterializes..

It seems like just last year I was at Wal-Mart waiting all night for one, btw I had a seizure while waiting in line and they saved my spot for me while I was at the ER!
Wow.. that was very nice of them indeed. Just goes to show there are still nice people in the world, including gamers! ;)
Yeah it was, but what sucked was that me and a bunch of friends got there at 11am and was told to sit up front, then in electronics, then they decided to do it back in lay-a-way at 5pm and didn't even tell us. Out of like 9 people I was the only one to get a chair. The woman working back in lay-a-way called her whole family and told them it was going to be back there. I noticed a bunch of people headed back there so I got out of line and saw they were trying to screw us. They just told everyone to run and get a seat.
