Ha! Indeed. :shhh:
Here is the installer if anyone wants it, but of course unless you register for the Trial from the link above you won't have a 16-character License Key to use in it.

I tried this program a few days ago, and in my opinion it isn't worth it.
It is very restrictive in some respects:
- 512x288 (or 512x384 for 4:3) minimum resolution, 1080p max
- support for only a limited number of standard resolutions
- minimum of 500 kbps bitrate
- only a few configurable options
On the upside, it is pretty fast if your computer has gigabit ethernet, but quality definitely isn't up to the same standard as x264. Overall, if making tv, dvd, or bluray rips to standard resolutions, this solution can provide a great boost of speed (depending on computer speed) at some loss of quality. For portable devices it would be nice to have the option for lower resolutions and bitrates. For now I will keep hoping for an OpenCL or DX11 compute shader accelerated version of x264 sometime after the hardware is released.

Getting Microsoft .NET Framework Unhandled exception error when I try to launch the program :\
If I press continue I get the same error when trying to add encode job.

How does this compare to the products that are now using tech like CUDA?
Sometime this week I'll be comparing encoding time between this, the open source x264 64bit edition, and hopefully Badaboom. The goal is doing a Blu-ray -> 720p AVCHD DVD+DL and I'll be only comparing the video encoding with the same bitrate.
Currently ripping Live Free or Die Hard to my HDD for processing atm.

I just received this via e-mail from Fixstars, bad news for PS3 Slim users apparently: :wonky:
