Sony is definitely going to the ball game.. the New York Yankees have struck a corporate deal with Sony to furnish Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment systems and VAIO notebook computers in select locations throughout the Stadium for fans.

To quote: According to an Official press release on MLB.com, the details of the partnership will provide the new Yankee Stadium with "a Sony HD broadcast control room; more than 550 flat-panel BRAVIA and professional LCD HD television sets in the luxury suites, lounges, concourses, restaurants and administrative offices; plus Sony HD branding elements featured prominently throughout the stadium." PS3s and Vaio notebooks will also be placed throughout the stadium as well for fans to interact with.

According to Yankees COO Lonn Trost, "We are proud to continue our long-term relationship with Sony Electronics. Integrating Sony products into Yankee Stadium is very important to us as we near completion of what will certainly be among the most modern and technologically advanced sports venues in the world."
