Over the last 2-3 days they have made significant progress in multiple areas of the PS3 (which will be detailed in the Site News), however, they are now asking the PS3 community to "get out of your armchair" (see video below- the ball symbolizes the PS3, the goal is unsigned code, and the community are in the chairs). I wish I could help, I know what a psp is LOL, thats bout as far as it goes and I feel helpless I cannot do anything to help. I will be tea boy if thats any help to you..... :)

Yeah that's OK... later today CJPC will probably post a more detailed PS3 Dev progress update, this is just something the PS3 Devs wanted others to look into in the meantime. ;)
In all honesty, the PS3 dev console must contain something that regular consoles don't in order to allow it to play game ISOs and whatnot. This could be an extra chip or a few extra wires going somewhere. Why not just try and reproduce the dev console.
If this is exactly what CJPC and other people are already trying to do, I'm sorry for my ignorance.
That the hardware is the same, just different software... and that is one of the many projects they are working on flashing Debug Firmware to a Retail console.
This (RCO stuff) is just another of many things they are looking at... which they are seeking user help with ;)
