201w ago - Those who have been playing WipEout HD will likely be greeted with a prompt pertaining to the new version 2.00 patch update.
At this point it's unclear if this is for the European release only, or if US and JP regions also will be receiving the upgrade from v1.40.
To quote: It's a 109MB patch which, I assume, also puts a few things in place for the DLC coming on Thursday.
From the patch notes:
• Brand new Statistics section
• Reworked ship and track select screens
• New community functionality has been added to make it easier to play with friends online
• Several small improvements to both single player and online gameplay
