At CEDEC 2009, Sony Home developer Masami Kando revealed that a future update will enable users to load up the PlayStation Store directly from Home.

This will allow you to do things such as downloading demos from PlayStation Home via PlayStation Store and playing online with friends.

Famitsu.com also shows images of a new virtual pet robot (pictured below) for PlayStation Home which looks like an old television set. The robot's reaction can change (smiling/frowning) depending on the user's current situation.

To quote: "One demo focused on synchronized playback of multimedia content. The player was able to access a virtual media player whose menu contained listings for real net radio and pod casts.

Additionally, the player's virtual Bravia set was made to show commercials. In both instances, users were able to enjoy the content with their friends.

Another demo, which was developed in five days, showed a cute (?) pet robot walking about a player's room. The player could scold the robot to make it calm down (and then get angry), call out to the robot to make it come close, and do other activities that one might do with a pet.

Kando pointed out that this system allows for single players to enjoy themselves and does not require a keyboard. Additionally, the robot could be used to offer pertinent information to the user."

Awesome, yet another link to PStore via Home. The 3 XMB icons aren't enough apparently. Still think they ought to just make the XMB button take you to the PStore instead of the XMB & have the PS3 boot up directly to the PStore instead of the XMB since it's apparently very important to Sony that we visit the PStore as often as possible.

I would say there is a good chance, but not like a 100% confirmation mainly because they were tech demos... guess time will tell, eh? :hmm:

Yep, as long as they can stream videos from my HDD and other users can view them. I'm guessing that you would most likely have to purchase the Bravias and they would be some ridiculous price ($5, $7, or even $10), similar to picture frames.

But, if streaming is available, I would purchase one...
I think that this was the #1 option that attracted me too Home when it was announced back on '07.

I mean can u blame them. You whine and complain about what we don't have and never give thanks for what we do have. FREE PSN !!! If we were paying to play then I wouldn't want it thrown in my face every minute.
