Because of my disappointment in the stimulus maps I was a little hesitant on buying the resurgence maps, but I really wanted to play the Carnival map. Also it's only $15. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a lot of money to be spending $60 on a brand new game ( Though I really want Bad Company 2, or Killzone 3), but a $15 investment on the improvement on my favorite game is not that much money.
I purchased the resurgence maps, and I have to say I love them! To me Carnival, Fuel, and Trailer Park are well worth the $5 apiece. And since I never played any of the old maps, they feel like a bonus to me.
That's how I see it anyways. $5 a map, with the old maps as a bonus.
At first i thought of getting the map pack when the price reduced, after the 2nd map pack came out and i saw the price tag is the same.. as a principle even if they lower their prices to 5$ each map pack, i won't get them.
Funny thing is, my friend got a EU copy of the game and bought the maps off the US store, so he is kind of screwed, he cant use them.
What was sony's answer? "Youre not even suppose to buy off the US store".. Pfft, bunch of lamers.. the only thing that gets me holding on to a console these days is party play/split screen.. everything else i could do on a PC.. (EDIT: and better fps, with no jaggies!!)
What i'm sure of, is that i wont get the new PS.. Sony has completed let me down in anything concerning this console..
I figured they would just eventually drop the price, but with this new DLC with basically the same concept as the last at the same price. puts doubt that there will be a price drop or a package deal any time soon
I refuse to pay half the price of a full priced game for less then half of what i can get from the original.
too true sir... i mean i wouldn't mind them charging the $15 for the maps, if (and only if) the maps were unlockable by gameplay and someone didnt want to take the time and put in the effort into playing the game. but they aren't
i actually ended up paying about $75 for the game (after taxes) and another $15 for the stimulus, so that's $90 right there. add in this new map pack, and what originally started out as a $75 game, has now turned into a $105 (if you want to truly appreciate all the map packs and playing against everyone)
